Backpack Campaign
Our annual Backpack campaign begins in the Christmas season, from early November until late December.
At Open Door we use backpacks of personal hygiene products and emergency clothing to let women know that we are available to them with no strings attached when they are released from jail. Along with donations from Murphy’s Pharmacies, your donation will purchase the backpacks as well as feminine hygiene products, socks, underwear, face cloths and towels.
We are living in difficult times and it’s even more difficult for vulnerable women. If you donate to the Christmas Backpack Campaign you will help someone have a fresh start upon release from incarceration.
