Easter Backpack Campaign

$45.00 will pronike_core_backpackvide one backpack filled with personal hygiene products to help one person start again. Every Easter Open Door asks the community to fill backpacks.

Lack of trust is a tangible road block for many marginalized women. At Open Door we use backpacks of personal hygiene products to let women know that we are available to them with no strings attached.  We also supply backpacks for men who are being released from corrections in co-obackpackperation with the John Howard Society.

Personal hygiene products are things many of people take for granted but these items will go a long way to help Open Door  assist someone in the community who may have very little to call her own.

We are meeting a need which then leads to further connections after release from incarceration.  Open Door has given out over 400 backpacks over the last six years with the help and aid of individuals and groups in the community. It is a significant need which Islanders have never failed to meet.
